I’m Joel Montero, a Graphic Designer and Comic Book Artist based in New York City. With over eight years of professional design experience, I’ve worked across branding, digital media, and visual storytelling.
I’m also the Co-Founder of Broken Reality Comics, an independent publishing startup dedicated to creating bold, interconnected stories that celebrate creativity and diversity in the comic book industry. Alongside my work with BRC, I’ve produced cover art and illustrations for multiple mainstream and indie publishers, blending cinematic composition with a strong sense of narrative design.
My passion lies in merging design and storytelling — whether through brand identities, editorial layouts, or the dynamic worlds I bring to life on the comic page.
